What is Wastewater Filter Press Treatment System?

The Wastewater Filter Press Treatment System is a solid-liquid separation technology for wastewater treatment. It filters wastewater with solid particles by using pressure to separate solids from liquids effectively. Sewage treatment plants and industrial facilities widely use this system. It shrinks the volume of sludge and wastewater, cuts treatment costs, and boosts treatment efficiency.

Here’s how the filter press works: First, you put sludge or wastewater between permeable filter cloths. Then, you apply high pressure. This forces water molecules through the filter cloths, leaving solid matter behind to form a filter cake. The main parts of the filter press are the frame, filter plates, filter cloths, and closing mechanisms. The frame supports the other parts. The filter plates create chambers and channels for sludge and filtrate. The filter cloth blocks solids but lets water through. The closing mechanism pushes the plates together to apply pressure.

The cloth is woven under controlled temperature and humidity conditions to eliminate fabric burrs caused by static electricity.
